A framework for entrepreneurship education

Entrepreneurship is not simply taught.
It is entered.

Immersepreneurship reframes entrepreneurial learning as an immersive developmental process—relational, contextual, challenging, reflective, mentored and cross-cultural.

01 / DEFINITION

What is
Immersepreneurship?

Immersepreneurship /ɪˌmɜːs.prəˈnɜː.ʃɪp/ noun

A form of entrepreneurship education that uses immersive, experiential and context-rich learning to develop entrepreneurial knowledge, capabilities and identity.

The term brings together immersion and entrepreneurship. It responds to a central educational problem: entrepreneurial learning is often discussed as experiential, yet designed as a sequence of disconnected activities. Immersepreneurship treats the whole learning environment as the pedagogy.

02 / THE FRAMEWORK

Six dimensions.
One immersive system.

The dimensions operate together. Their value lies not in isolated activities, but in a deliberately designed developmental experience.

01

Relational development

Learning is strengthened through trust, dialogue, belonging and meaningful human connection.

02

Contextual immersion

Entrepreneurial knowledge is developed within authentic settings, problems and communities.

03

Developmental challenge

Purposeful stretch, ambiguity and responsibility help learners grow beyond passive participation.

04

Reflective practice & containment

Structured reflection and psychological support transform demanding experience into learning.

05

Embedded mentorship

Practitioners and mentors become part of the learning architecture, not occasional additions.

06

Cross-cultural exposure

Encountering different contexts and perspectives expands judgement, adaptability and possibility.

03 / THE CORE PROPOSITION

“The learning environment is not a backdrop to entrepreneurship education. It is part of what—and how—the learner becomes.”
